Set up an Office 365 Exchange email in the iOS Mail app
Go to your iPhone or iPad's Settings > scroll down and tap Accounts & Passwords > Add Account.
Note: If you're on iOS 10, go to Mail > Accounts >Add Account.
Select Exchange.
Enter your Office 365 email address and a description of your account. Tap Next.
Tap Sign In.
Note: Tap Configure Manually if you need to enter server settings.
Enter the password associated with your email account. Tap Sign in or Next.
The Mail app may request specific permissions. Tap Accept.
Choose the services you want to sync with your iOS device and tap Save. You're done!

Set up email in Outlook for iOS mobile app
Download Outlook for iOS from the iOS App Store and then open it. The icon looks like this:
If it's your first-time using Outlook for iOS, enter your full email address, then tap Add Account.
If not, open the Menu > tap Settings > Add Account >Add Email Account.
Enter your email account password and tap Sign In.
Note: The sign-in screen may look different for you depending on your email provider.
Set up email in the Outlook for Android app
Set up Outlook for Android for the first time
Install the Outlook for Android app from the Google Play Store and then open it.
Tap Get Started if this is your first time.
Otherwise, to add another email account, open the Menu > Settings > Add Account > Add Email Account. Then skip to step 4 under Set up another email account below.
Outlook may detect your Google accounts. To add them to Outlook for Android, tap Google Connect Account and then tap OK to confirm. Tap Allow giving Outlook access to your Contacts.
If you don't want to add these accounts, tap Skip and then go to step 4 under Set up another email account below.
Select the accounts you'd like to add and tap Add Account. You may be asked to sign in.
Tap Allow confirming offline access and any other prompts.
To add another email account, tap Continue and go to Step 4, otherwise tap Skip.
Set up another email account
Enter your full email address, then tap Continue.
Enter your email account password and tap Sign In or Next.
Note: The sign-in screen may look different for you depending on your email provider.
Set up email in the Android email app
Android mail apps may look different across different devices, and these directions may not exactly match the options you see. Use these steps as a guide or consult the manufacturer's help for your particular device.
Choose your built-in Android email app:
Gmail app Samsung Email app
Before you begin, update the Gmail app to the latest version:
- Open the Google Play Store app on your phone or tablet.
- Type "Gmail" into the search bar and then select Update.
Note: If the update option is not available, you're already on the latest version.
Open the Gmail app.
Tap the menu icon in the upper left corner > Settings > Add account > Exchange and Office 365.
Important: Do NOT choose "Outlook, Hotmail, and Live" unless you want to sync email only and not calendar/contacts.
Enter your full email address and tap Next.
Enter your password and tap Next.
Follow steps for your account type:
Outlook.com users: skip this step
On the Incoming server settings screen, change your server to outlook.office365.com.
Follow any prompts you may get for security or device permissions, sync settings, and more.
Go to the inbox you just set up. If you see an email that says "Action Required to Sync Email," open it and tap Use another Mail app instead.
If you don't see this message and emails are syncing, skip this step.
Pull down the Android notification bar by swiping down from the top of your screen.
If you see a notification that reads "Unable to sync calendar and contacts," tap it. Then tap Allow to give access and you're done!
Note: If you don't see a sync error, verify your calendar and contacts are syncing.
Set up GCC email on your iOS or Android devices
For iOS devices:
- Open Settings in iOS, scroll to find Outlook and then tap to select it.
- In Outlook settings, slide the toggle beside Restrict app to GCC accounts so that the feature is enabled. If you're asked to remove existing accounts, select Yes and then exit Settings.
- Open Outlook, and then add your Office 365 GCC account by following the on-screen instructions, using your Office 365 GCC email account and credentials.
For Android devices that have a new installation of Outlook for Android (i.e., no existing email accounts):
- Open Outlook on the Android device.
- On the initial screen, tap to select Restrict app to GCC mode.
- Add your Office 365 GCC account by following the on-screen instructions, using your Office 365 GCC email account and credentials.
For Android devices that already have Outlook for Android installed:
- Open Outlook, and then go to Settings.
- Slide the toggle beside GCC mode so that the feature is enabled. You will get a pop-up message informing you that your accounts and settings will be removed and that you'll only be able to add GCC accounts. Tap Apply.
- The app should automatically re-start. If it doesn't, manually close and re-start the app.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add your Office 365 GCC account, making sure GCC mode is on.
