How to Turn Off Focused Inbox in Outlook
Outlook for Windows (New Outlook)
- Open Outlook.
- Go to View > View Settings.
- Under Mail > Layout, select the account.
- Choose Don’t sort my messages to turn off Focused Inbox.
- Click Save if prompted.
Outlook for Windows (Classic Outlook)
- Open Outlook.
- Go to the View tab.
- Click Show Focused Inbox to toggle it off.
- The Focused and Other tabs will disappear.
Outlook on the Web
- Click the Settings (gear icon) in the top right.
- In the Settings pane, find Focused Inbox.
- Toggle the switch to Off.
Classic Outlook on the Web
- Click Settings > Display settings > Focused Inbox.
- Under “When email is received,” select Don’t sort messages.
- Click OK.
Outlook for Mac
- Go to the Organize tab.
- Click Focused Inbox to toggle it off.
- If the button isn’t visible, your version may not support this feature yet.
Outlook Mobile (Android/iOS)
- Tap the menu icon (three lines) in the top left.
- Go to Settings > Mail > Focused Inbox.
- Toggle the switch to Off.
