After setting everything up to be able to make phone calls through Teams, you need to make sure that your users have the right license to use this feature.
Licenses required:
Office license, Teams domestic calling plan license, Phone system.
Note: Microsoft 365 E5, A5, and G5 plans include Teams Phone System, if a user has any of these licenses assigned, you will only need to add Teams domestic calling plan. You can find these licenses in our Bemo store (BeMo Online Store (bemopro.com))
To assign the license:
- Go to the M365 Admin portal (https://admin.microsoft.com/)
- Log in with your Admin account
- Click on Users
- Select the user to assign the license to
- Click Licenses and Apps
- Check the box next to the licenses to assign
- Save the changes
After the license is assigned you are now ready to assign a phone number.
- Go to Teams admin center (Microsoft Teams admin center - Microsoft Teams admin center)
- Under voice, click on phone numbers
- Select the phone number and click edit
- Type the name of the user you want to assign the phone number to
- Save the changes
Allow a few minutes for the system to sync and the user should then be able to use the feature!
