Check Available Disk Space:
- Click on the Apple menu () in the top-left corner.
- Select About This Mac.
- Go to the Storage tab to see the available disk space.

Close Unnecessary Applications:
- Open Activity Monitor from the Applications > Utilities folder.
- In the CPU tab, identify and select the applications consuming high resources.
- Click the X button in the top-left corner to close them.

Disable Visual Effects and Animations:
- Open System Preferences from the Apple menu ().
- Go to Accessibility.
- In the Display section, check the boxes for Reduce motion and Reduce transparency.

Clear Temporary Files and Caches:
- You can use third-party utility software like CleanMyMac X or OnyX to clear caches and temporary files safely.

Reset the SMC (System Management Controller):
- Shut down your Mac.
- For MacBooks with non-removable batteries: Press and hold Shift + Control + Option on the left side and the Power button for 10 seconds, then release all keys and turn on your Mac.
- For desktops: Unplug the power cord, wait 15 seconds, plug it back in, wait 5 seconds, then turn on your Mac.

Reset the PRAM (Parameter RAM):
- Shut down your Mac.
- Turn it on and immediately press and hold Option + Command + P + R for about 20 seconds.
- Release the keys after the second startup sound or when the Apple logo appears and disappears for the second time.
